Excel in Logistics Training

Will the Excel in Logistics Training be suitable for me?

The Excel in Logistics Training is for those who:

  • know the basics of Excel,
  • work in a logistics branch or a related unit,
  • want to know practical tools applicable in everyday work,
  • want to speed up and improve their work and expand their current knowledge.


After the Excel in Logistics Training You will know how to:

  • use practical knowledge about function and tools of the MS Excel program,
  • distinguish the data with given values with conditional formatting,
  • search the data  with advanced features of sorting and filtering,
  • work with multiple worksheets and workbooks and link them,
  • create charts and pivot tables and use their capabilities in data analysis.

Training needs surveys

Before training, we ask you to specify your expectations and analyse your needs. This way, our trainer will be able to suggest the most suitable kind of training for you and modify the programme according to your needs.



Training materials

As a participant of our training, you will receive a complete set of carefully developed training materials including:

  • A reference book discussing the issues covered by the training and providing a "step-by-step" description of the respective exercises,
  • Unlimited electronic access to exercises and training materials within the framework of the Cognity Knowledge Zone.



Having completed a training course, you will receive a certificate confirming the qualifications you gained. The back side of the certificate lists the programme of your training. Cognity certificates are issued pursuant to an entry in the Register of Training Institutions (no. 2.12/00106/2011).



The comfort of learning

In order to ensure optimum learning conditions, we organise training courses in small groups of no more than 10 participants. We will prepare an individual computer station for you, too.



Post-training assistance

Having completed our training course, you will be offered the assistance of our trainer. If you have any doubts or questions concerning the subject-matter of your training, you can call us, e-mail us or arrange a personal meeting (in our company) with the trainer, who will be at your service.

Review of Excel basics

  • rules of the proper data input - numbers, currency, percentage, text, date,,
  • filling with data series,
  • format painter,
  • keyboard shortcuts.

Economical analysis of logistical processes with functions

  • relative and absolute references,
  • logical functions - IF, OR, AND,
  • statistical and mathematical functions COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, SUMIF, SUMIFS,
  • lookup & reference functions - VLOOLUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH,
  • date and time functions – TODAY, DAY, MONTH, YEAR, WEEKDAY NETWORKDAYS, WORKDAY,
  • text functions - LEFT, RIGHT, MID, LEN, UPPER, LOWER, TRIM, PROPER,
  • function nesting – combining several functions into one.

Getting to know meters and indicators:

  • influence of purchase prices over  activity costs,
  • stock size and structure analysis,
  • stock productivity indicators,
  • logistical costs analysis,
  • influence of logistical processes on profitability.

Analysing fluctuations of logistical indicators in time

Creation of reporting system for subordinates

  • creating example logistical reports,
  • drop-down lists,
  • worksheet data protection,
  • data validation,
  • links to external data.

Logistics department’s data analysis

  • creation of example reports,
  • conditional formatting in reports,

Data analysis with pivot tables
